WeBOoo will use various components to determine which words and phrases
make the most sense - we are only too aware that the greatest web site in the world without the proper meta-tage keywords
will result in zero visitors. Remember a keyword is what most of the searching is conduted under. If your keywords list doesn't
include a word such as 'Teddy Bear' and someone enters 'Teddy Bear' into Altavista - then don't expect to sell many Teddy
Bears!
How does Keyword Density Analysis Work?
When Search Engines index a Web page they analyse both the ratio of "keywords" to the total
word count and the positioning of those same keywords relative to the overall page content. They use these numbers to "credit
score" your site. If your KDA fits their current, unique criteria you would be assigned a high relevancy ratio and rewarded
with a high position in their listing. If your KDA does not fit their present unique criteria your Web page will be penalised
with a low score and lowly ranking.
Calculating these keyword positioning algorithms and keyword density ratios has been almost impossible to do
correctly "by hand," optimisation for any given search engine was very complex, arduous and time consuming. Optimisation for
more than one Search Engine was, to all intents and purposes, impossible to achieve.
Don't be alarmed however because Position Agents know how to keep abreast of these changes. Part of our solution to
this problem can actually be found embedded within those pages which are already ranked highest by Search Engines for any
particular topic. They are ranked highest because Keywords density meets the current relevancy criteria for that topic by
that individual Search Engine.
Decoding how individual Search Engines are assigning weighting criteria to html page components such as <META>
<HEAD> <TITLE> <ALT> and <BODY> is a time consuming element. We however, have the means to enable
your site to conform to both the tangible, current relevancy rules and the intangible, future relevancy rules of multiple
Searc Engines....
Why are keywords so important?
Keyword
selection is the most important part of your promotion strategy. If you choose the wrong keywords, no amount of submitting
or page alteration will bring you the quality and amount of traffic that you desire. Keywords must be related to your site
content. If your content is about beer bottles and your keywords relate to travel, the search engines will index your site,
but not rank it at all. Your keywords define your desired target audience. Position Agents will guide you in your selection
of keywords. This is one of the first things we do before we actually commence submission of your site to the search engines.
You
should also make sure that your target keywords appear in the crucial locations on your web pages. The page title is most
important. Failure to put target keywords in the page title is the main reason why perfectly relevant web pages may be poorly
ranked. Search engines also like pages where keywords appear "high" on the page. To accommodate them, use your target keywords
for your page headline, if possible and have them also appear in the first paragraphs of your web page. We also recommend
using headings and font alterations like bold throughout the page. Engines tend to look for anything that may 'lend importance'
to keywords on a page.
